Where to get House of Balsa

This sport plane always gets packed in the car when I go out to the field.  It is an excellent sport flyer.  My current setup is on the heavy side so the wing loading is up there.  This is ok for me as I like it overpowered.  Although it is not a 3D type ship, I get excellent vertical...high speed...nice rolls...great stall turns.  It will handle all basic aerobatics except knife edge.

As for building...a piece of cake.  This was the first built up plane I ever did on my own.  I did not pin a single part down on the building board.  The laser parts snap right in place.  As you will see there are very few modifications necessary for converting the Chea-Pass stick to e-flight.

The primary requirement is to move the servos behind the wing and make an access hatch.  Secondly, dremel out the forward bulkheads inside the fuse to allow for battery space.  DO NOT use the stock landing gear.  If you do, I promise that you will very quickly rip it off the fuse.  The motor is mounted to the firewall with a Sonic Tronics adjustable mount.  Some people swear by them....some people swear at them.  Personally, I really like the product.  If the plane tips over on the nose the mount will either flex to absorb some energy or will break.  I think that the beams are supposed the be on the top and bottom of the motor.  However, I like them on the side of the motor so that I get some flex when it does tip over.
